How to remove a ball head and replace it with a quick release handle

If you want to remove the ball head and shock absorber base, follow these steps:

Ball head disassembly:

• The ball head and damping base are factory-attached with screw-locking adhesive, ensuring a very tight fit.
• If you try to loosen it by hand or with a regular wrench, it may be difficult.
• Screw glue should be heated to soften before removal.

Steps:

1. First, remove the ball head mount from the base.
2. Wrap the ball head in a dry towel or wear heat-resistant gloves to hold it in place.
3. Using a heat gun or lighter, heat the screw that connects the ball head to the shock absorber base.
4. Once heated, use an Allen key to loosen the screw.

Installing the quick release bracket

Once you have separated the ball head and shock absorber base, follow these steps:

1. Loosen the screws on the quick change bracket.
2. Attach the thinner part of the quick release to the base with screws.
3. Attach the thicker part to the ball head and bracket housing.
4. After assembly, align both parts of the quick change bracket on the same level and push them horizontally to complete the installation.

• Press and hold the red button and press the two parts along the same level in the opposite direction.
